Manage nameserver sets

Nameserver sets allow you to bundle multiple nameserver addresses into a single template. This ensures a consistent DNS configuration across multiple hostnames.
Create a nameserver set
Section titled “Create a nameserver set”You must include at least two and a maximum of five nameservers in a set.
- Open the STACKIT Domain Portal
- Select Nameservers Sets from the side menu under the MANAGEMENT section.
- Click Add nameserver set.
- Enter a Nameserverset Name (e.g.,
your-company-cloud). - Enter your nameservers (e.g.,
ns1.domains.stackit.cloudandns2.domains.stackit.cloud) in the Nameserver fields. - Click + Add nameserver to add more fields if needed.
- Click Save.
Set a default nameserver set
Section titled “Set a default nameserver set”Setting a default nameserver set speeds up the registration process for new domains.
- Open the Nameserver Sets overview.
- Find the set you want to use as the standard and click the three-dot menu.
- Select the option to set it as the default. The set now displays a blue DEFAULT badge.
Delete a nameserver set
Section titled “Delete a nameserver set”You can remove name server sets that are no longer in use.
- In the Nameserver Sets overview, click the three-dot menu next to the set.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion. The system removes the set permanently.
